Lange Wetering REMOVAL OF BRIDGE DECK LANGE WETERING

  • Duration Five weeks
  • Segment International contractors, Civil engineering, Heavy industries
  • Solution Rebar-saving demolitionTreating waste water

During the new construction of the bridge over the canal De Lange Wetering, the wrong type of concrete was used. Therefore, it was necessary to remove the entire 70-metre long bridge deck without damaging the underlying prefab beams. The required process water was taken from the canal and was to be recycled.

THE SOLUTION

Commissioned by Platenkamp B.V., ADS has removed the concrete between the beams by sawing it into parts and lifting it out. Next, our Aqua Cutter, with a special conversion construction, accurately removed the concrete without causing damage. A water treatment unit (Ecoclear) was used to collect, clean and recycle the polluted process water in a closed system.
